Harbor and northern part of Aarhus seen through the Rainbow Panorama installation on the roof of the ARoS Art Museum. FujiFilm X100T, Fujinon 23mm /f2.0.

The city of Aarhus can be visited and viewed in many ways. One sublime and spectacular way is to see it from the roof of the ARoS art museum . “Your rainbow panorama” on the roof of ARoS is a unique and spectacular piece of artwork by Danish/Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson.

Your rainbow panorama is a circular, large glass walkway, measuring 52 metres in diameter and formed in the colour spectrum. From here you can move around in a 150 metre long, circular panoramic path offering visitors 360º sweeping views of the city, the sky, and the distant horizons.

Visible from afar, the work divides Aarhus into various colour zones and acts as a beacon for people moving about the city – an effect that is heightened at night when lights running the circumference of the walkway illuminate it from within.
