this post should look like i visited this city as a tourist, any given summer day. it should look like af brief report from that day. my account from this trip. without any lengthy dissertation on the city’s population, populations figures, history and typical attractions.
i live in this city. like “i’m not from here, i just live here”. with the twist that after so many years, i came to love my hometown of choice quite a bit. as people here always say: “odense is a big city, but it never becomes a big city” – meant as “metropole”. and they’re right: odense is not even close to other cities brilliance. such as Copenhagen, Stockholm, Berlin, Hamburg or even Århus. but lately, a lot of new things happened. someone must have said:
“we should get this city dusted off, get some modernity, reform the city so young people bother to live here in the future. and while we’re at it, we can also bang some rust off of what has been laying and standing still for too many years “.
if one takes these statements seriously and try to come around town with a camera, one might find itself rewarded for the effort. there are indeed a lot of cool places and many opportunities to meet people. people they would like to attract.
here’s is my selection from my roaming as a tourist in my own city. I have not been able to limit it to just a few pictures, not been able to boil them down to just a few. I hope you think they’re worth look at.
