some time ago, i went visiting christiania, the famous sanctuary in copenhagen. it seemed to be the right place to test an expired black and white film. the results were rather disappointing, as there is no visible difference from a normal, “fresh” film. regardless, my visit was a success, one cannot help but love this place.
christiania was and is being discussed again and again. everyone seems to have an opinion on this colorful area of copenhagen. christiania is not a neighborhood, it is a partially autonomous area of the city. a living space for people who have their own ideas, laws and regulations. however, like the rest of the country, the sanctuary is subject to the legislative power that lies with hm the queen and the danish parliament.
this is christiania’s basic idea:
https://www.christiania.org/
to build a self-governing society where each individual can freely develop under the responsibility of the community.
this community must rest financially in its own right and the common endeavor must always be to show that mental and physical pollution can be prevented.
thus formulated by sven, kim, ole, kim and jacob with the right to improvement. 13 / 11-1971
besides the fact that the sanctuary is copenhagen’s 4th largest tourist attraction, it is also an excellent place where the mind can wander off, thoughts can be thought. a place to breath in the middle of a busy metropole. it is a living space where people live and who partly also have their own business on site. here are playing children, residents and small businesses. In many ways the perfect world – which has its problems and challenges. just like everybody else.
