Passages

On the way back home from an evening walk, the editor walked a shortcut passed the nearby College, and this image got his attention. These passages are normally teemed with life: Students on their way to the laundry salon, the Supermarket or just strolling. But that day, nobody showed, ideal for a snapshot. Peaceful and quiet.

    ich glaube das Silvester-Feuerwerk war 1. August…..
Die Springflowers sind wunderschön, bei mir im Garten schon bald verblüht.

  2. I like! What i would’ve done, is to take the focus a couple of pillars down, so it isnt the first one thats in focus. Because when i saw it first time, i thought you posted an ”out of focus picure”. You know what i mean? The focus a little more in the middle. Hope you know what i mean. 😉 Anyways! Nice work!

  3. Thanks for your comment Mr. Bokeh. I know what you mean. The picture was shot the way you would want it to be (2.8 and focus in the middle of the passageway), but it was not fit to use for that post. The image you see is cropped ~66% down, beginning in the middle of that lane, where you want it to be sharp with the rest blurred. It is not that easy to achieve with the distances the object has. That’s why I had to go with what you see.
However, I will give it another try with another lens one of these days.
