Under Bridges

Sometimes we have to stand under Bridges. To seek shelter from Rain, Snow or Storm- or from it all at once. They do not only give shelter from the weather, they also reveal their architecture and especially their size – of which we are not aware of while driving over. Some are colossal, some are high, some low, build of stone, steel, concrete or wood. They are fascinating. If we don’t want to, we do no longer need to descend and climb hills and mountains. And we no longer need to cross cold and dangerous waters with ferries- if the weather permitted it. And all thanks to the bridges, surrounding us on this Island.
