Lemur monkeys: Always busy, skurrying around as if they own the place! Odense Zoo, Maj 2016. Nikon D800, Nikkor AF-S 80-400mm, f/4.5-5.6 G ED

The Zoo in Odense has a very large area reserved for their vivid team of Lemur Monkeys. The enclosure consists of an outdoor, as well as an indoor area. The outdoor area is like and Island with trees, surrounded by water, which probably is the only method to prevent these inventive animals from escaping.
The indoor compartment is build to spread the illusion where the Monkeys have taken over a storehouse from which vanilla is transported to the World. Vanilla is one of Madagascar’s main exports, next to Lemurs. In the Zoo, they are very entertaining to observe, and rather difficult to photograph. They are incredible lively and confident animals, behaving themselves as if they own the place.
