The Birth Machine. Gruyères, Juli 2018

For fans of Science Fictions, biomecanical Creatures and futuristic Horror Nightmares, the following images might be entertaining. They were taken during a stay in Gruyères , Switzerland, where Painter and Sculpturist  H.R. Giger owned Castle Saint Germain in Gruyères until his death in 2014. Giger, best known for his Academy Award winning design work on the film Aliens, opened a Museum in the Castle, as a permanent repository of his work.

The museum offers a variety of Giger’s artistic works: from drawings, via air brushes to bronze sculptures. The works depicted here were photographed exclusively in the entrance area of the museum.
